Set not far from Monumento a Nikolay Gogol. It was ideally located. We were happy to find Carioca 500 m away, where we could eat. Great choice for city trip.

I booked the Villa Mangili for its location in relation to the Parco Della Musica (15mins walk), good reviews and fair price. I pretty much loved everything about the hotel, the size of the room (palacial compared to my colleagues' who were staying in town), the breakfast, the building and garden, the security, the breakfast and the friendliness of the staff. Villa Mangili is an excellent home away from home and if I was in Rome again for business or pleasure I would certainly stay again. There is also an excellent restaurant nearby, Gli Ulivi, where I had the best Italian food I have ever tasted!
The only problem I experienced at the Villa Mangili was that on one morning the pressure in the shower was quite low, I assume because other guests were showering at the same time.

We came to really appreciate the staff and all they did to helps us with everything we needed. The room was nice and it was all very quiet, which feels wonderful after a day in busy/noisy centre.
The location. The Villa Bourghese (the neighbourhood) is lovely and otherwise we would not have seen it, but it is not very central. It is lovely to walk to the centre of town from the Hotel during the day, but coming back at night was not easy. We were told not to cross the park in the evening. This would not have been an issue if it was not a nightmare to get a taxi in Rome.... But if you rent a scooter, or have a car, or dont mind crossing the park at night, that should be fine. And the area around the Hotel is really nice. That I must admit.

Good location. Near Taxi point. Near nice park. To centrum, central station, Vatican etc by Taxi 10 minutes, by foot 20-30 minutes.Very good breakfast, a lot of fruites, nice coffee. Nice style of plates and dishes. Nice parfume (soap, etc) in the bathroom.Good hall disain.
A lot of trees around the hotel. In one side is good, but very dark in the rooms in other side. Very strange room style ("Tudor" style) not for all people.

Shampoo and body wash is "L'Occitane" .It was a very good fragrance. Reception staffs are very friendly. Breakfast is very substantial, I was able to eat fresh fruit.
The hotel is away from the subway station. You also must pass a dark park at night. Therefore, you will have to transfer from bus to the nearest subway station. if you are visiting Rome for the first time, then you may very confused. Please note.

Massimo helped us a lot, though in general hotel may provide more tourist information. Breakfast was nice if you come up early (they didn't refill the stuff that was finished). Our stay was during Easter and on the day after the holiday, there were no cereals, no yogourts, no fruits, only cakes and coffee. The location is not close to the city center, but close to villa Borgese, convenient for Vatican (tram 19), there is an autobus that connects to the center (52) but it is not very frequent, so learn its timetable.

Quiet, intimate, trendy, cool boutique feel. Excellent staff! Very friendly and helpful. Gorgeous neighborhood but not easily walkable to main sites in city center although right on the light rail and bus lines. Next to the Borghese Gardens a plus, and the lovely Museum of Modern Art.
